Born and raised in Taiwan, Sandy is an artist based at Eastcheap Studios in Letchworth Garden City, UK. She explores themes of everyday life, self-discovery, and memories. With a degree in philosophy, she later obtained a master’s in digital media design from Birkbeck, University of London, in 2021. Since graduating, she has pivoted to the field of art and has been exhibiting locally in and around Hertfordshire. Growing up, Sandy was influenced by children’s book illustrations, cartoons, manga, literature, and pop art. Travelling and digital culture also played a significant role in her life. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and observations of the world around her, she recreates a dream-like reality according to her imagination. Her practice is intuitive and introspective, focusing on the insights and emotions that often emerge from the creative process.
